At age 40, Carol was blindsided with a devastating diagnosis: Multiple Sclerosis. From that moment on, her life would never be the same.

Doctors immediately prescribed a regimen of injections and prescription medications to control her pain, numbness and tingling in her limbs, and other symptoms. Most people would be anxious to get started with their medication to control their illness and feel “normal” again.

But for Carol, something just didn’t sit right.

She came from a family where, due to financial constraints, doctor visits were rare. Consequently, Carol’s family often relied on home remedies and just plain ol’ time to heal from their illnesses.

Carol followed her gut instincts and sought out a trusted Naturopath. His staggering conclusion: Carol didn’t have MS at all. She was being poisoned by the toxic ingredient Aspartame. To cope with her high-powered, high-stress corporate job, Carol had become a Diet Coke addict. The Aspartame was wreaking havoc on her body. Carol and her Naturopathic doctor customized a treatment plan to rid her body of those toxins, and in the process Carol discovered her passion in life.

After much nudging and encouragement from other holistic professionals, Carol decided to make Naturopathy her life’s work. Over 20 years later, Carol is living a full and vibrant life, healthy as ever – and completely fulfilled because she’s able to help others who feel helpless against their chronic ailments.
